This is a review of the Super 73 electric bike. I tested it out on the trails, which is probably not design-intent for this bike, but this is how I plan to ride mine! In a nutshell, the bike is super fun and capable of handling off road trails. Although the stock Kenda road tires provided decent traction in the dirt (and mud), the ride was very rough with 15 psi and I believe the ride would be greatly improved with off road specific tires. Doing so will significantly improve climbing ...
Hi guys, so I installed a bigger 21t cog (16t stock) to reducethe gear ratio for climbing hills and tested it out on the same trail (shorter loop) as the previous video. It rained for like 3 days straight so the trails were super muddy but what a difference!!! A few hills still required pedaling but I didn't have to stand once! Knobby tires sure would have helped today but sadly, they have not been delivered yet. I will provide another update once I get some proper tires mounted! https://www.lithiumcycles.com/ Twist throttle for BBSHD https://lunacycle.com/parts/bafang-parts/luna-right-twist-throttle-for-bbshd-and-bbs02/ By the way, here's a quick reference table to help you decide how to gear your bike: Motor speed (max): 160 rpm Tire diameter: 22 inch Chainring: 40T Rear cog...
My commute to work is 9 miles each way and takes around 20 minutes on the Super 73 (10 minute drive). I've done it on a single charge before but just barely. There are a few good hills that will get my heart rate up on my mountain bike. It's like cheating on the Super 73...and I LOVE IT!!! https://www.lithiumcycles.com/

Well, actually only about 5 gears are usable due to rear rim and tire clearance issues (correction: see EDIT below). But the 11-34 cassette gives me 11, 13, 15, 17 and 20 tooth cogs to choose from. Along with a 30T front chainring, I can cruise along at 30 mph on the flats or climb like a mountain goat! *EDIT* I shortened the chain and now have all 9 gears - 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 23, 26, 30 and 34 tooth cogs available!!! Also, I finally got a 3-axis gimbal to shoot with. Sorry for all the shaky videos up until now! I'm using the EVO SS...this thing is AMAZING!!! The trail is Sycamore Canyon, starting at the Wendy trailhead in Newbury Park and ending up at Point Magu beach. Fun ride but I barely made it back with enough battery juice! Motor started cutting out on the final stretch at...

Super turbo 1000 gets a brushless motor upgrade to 1500 watts with a 48Volt 20 amp lithium battery I have the climbing gear installed on the scooter that reduce top speed but give me hill climbing power. My top speed at 200 pounds is 22.84 mph and with a range of 23.40 before battery shut down and that was going fast most of the time..not bad here a link to my daily trek with this scooter. https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&msid=210621725718030446825.0004dcf4db96afb13df4a
Back when I was going to school at Cal Poly in SLO town, I went halves with my roommate to buy a baby Nubian goat as a pet. We named her Phyllis. She could climb up just about anything. She chewed up our backyard pretty good, too. Sadly, our landlady made us get rid of her when she drove up to the house one day and saw Phyllis perched up on top of the hood of my roommate's car. Good times. Like Phyllis, my Super 73 loves to climb. She scoffs at shrub laden trails and, much to the chagrin of my wife, she has left a few ruts in our backyard. I've named my bike Phyllis.
